Paul Huggins leads the Carbon Trust global work on industrial decarbonisation. He is a climate strategist, technologist and market shaper helping governments, financial institutions, industries, and public-private partnerships deliver ambitious action on decarbonisation. He is an active member of the Cool Coalition, U4E and GEAR, and a supporter of the Race To Zero, SEAD, and the SDGs.
Paul co-led the UNFCCC aligned Climate Action Pathway for Net Zero Cooling by 2050, is leading a groundbreaking Net Zero 2050 Pathway for Energy Transition Metals co-sponsored by the IFC and the mining sector and is the Programme Director for UK BEISs very successful Industrial Energy Efficiency Accelerator – a programme demonstrating transformational, resource-efficient industrial processes improvements.
Additionally, Paul is leading the breakthrough development of clean technology verification tools to support green investment and exploring Beyond Value Chain solutions and the development of offset/CDR strategies.
